For the travel lover, like Mike and I, this is a terrible nightmare that is squashing our travel plans this year. Really that is the least of the problem. I understand the concern. I am not afraid to travel but understand the risks and precautions that should and must be taken.
These are the same precautions that I take to not get the flu or the common cold. Wash my hands often, clean and disinfect my environment, and keep myself as healthy as possible. For me that is drinking lots of water, getting 8 hours of sleep per night, reducing stress and eating as clean as possible. I drink an ORAC Tea every day for the antioxidants and immune-boosting nutrients. Movement and sun are other great habits as well. I’ve been trying to talk 2+ miles a day in the sunlight.
Find what works for you and stay healthy this season. I did watch a great episode #1439 of Joe Rogan Experience podcast with Michael Osterholm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3URhJx0NSw that has some great information from an expert.
Mike’s top 4 tips to keep your body as healthy as possible during the flu season:
- Remove ALL sugar from your diet
- Stop drinking Alcohol since it damages your immune system (Mike loves having a drink now and then so he understands how much this one sucks to do)
- Sanitize your hands and anything that come in contact with your face often
- List of Mike suggested Silver products https://amzn.to/38HUrxC
- Consume a safe silver product for your immune system
- Disinfect your phone daily. Ladies remember to clean the bottom of your purses.
- Get 7-9 hours of sleep each night will support your immune system. Not sleep will destroy your immune system quickly.
This isn’t a huge concern for the average healthy person but it is for people who are 65+ who have lung issues. The reason Italy and China have high death rates are due to those countries being one of the largest smoking countries in the world. Keep yourself safe and healthy by staying away from people who are sick and stay away from people who are at the greatest risk of getting sick.
I know there are a lot of people out there seeing these amazing deals on dream trips and I want to purchase them. I even saw a flight to Alaska for around $200 round trip. That’s crazy and I want to go. What’s stopping me isn’t the scare of what’s going on but the financial fall out that millions of people are going to suffer. If you can keep communicating with your clients online and if you need help with that schedule a call with me to see if there is a way to market you better. My background is in marketing.
Every small business that is in the travel industry is going to take a huge loss and when all these bans are lifted please think of small towns or tours that are supported by travel and small businesses. I’ve been talking to a fellow travel friend, Wendy, who is planning on some small-town international travels once this all dies down.

Please be safe. Happy travels!
