For almost 20 years, my husband, Avery, and I have worked with small business owners to promote their brand. Helping them with their marketing was terrific, but I started noticing that so many businesses needed assistance in developing who they are as a business before they could see a return on investment in their marketing efforts. Today’s world is so full of information that just putting something everywhere is a terrible idea. I started advising businesses not to put money towards marketing until they understood what they were marketing and to whom. I started coaching!
So many of us, including myself, started a business because we love what we do, but we want the control and direct access to our clients so we can make a difference in their lives. Then the reality of the day to day decisions, overwhelming advice of “you should…” comes at you from all directions. It starts to feel lonely and hard. You ask yourself, “Is this what owning a business is like?” Some of us push through the early stages and then get trapped in the next phase of growth.
Are you asking yourself any of these questions;
- What is the best way to grow my business?
- Do I know who my market is?
- I’m spending all this money on marketing, but how do I know if that is effective or not?
- I’m so tired of doing everything myself, but how do I do things differently?
As a certified business coach, I want to discover where you want to go, not what you think others think you should do. We answer those tough questions that are almost impossible to figure out. Together with a dedication to making your business a success, we discover what you stand for, who your target market is and what is your message/brand that you want to share with the world.

Remember to enjoy yourself every day. Avery and I enjoy traveling, playing board games, trying new things, attending plays and art exhibitions and, of course, running a business together.
Get your Voice Heard Online through all the noise
Starting a podcast changed my life. I’ve always been that person who was so scared that my voice sucked, and no one would want to listen to me. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Not only did I find the strength to start speaking, but I also discovered my love for communication through writing. They say to “Start Ugly” in podcasting, and you will only get better. I agree you get better over time, but if you’re like me, you might need someone there to help you find that message. I did that through a co-host and realized I could have done it alone if I wanted to. I quickly realized I had all the skills to produce a show myself. I am now helping others like you recognize that you have a voice and something important to say. Producing a show can be as simple as planning and creating a strategy for the show, or as involved as helping you with everything from booking the guest, recording and editing the episodes, to marketing each with content marketing.
